They have finally decided it is time to scope out some guinea pigs. 10 people are chosen from every state in America, going through a series of physical and mental potential tests to determine if they will be able to hold out in the conditions of space. They are each given a token for a house, a car, and certain amount of Oaks, the currency of Oaklyn city. They have developed a completely self-contained society inside a space enabled structure. They will float around Neptune, where the government has decided will be the best place. Everything is ready to go. Now all they need is to go. The story is told by thirteen year old Saige, who unhappy with her orphan life, runs off to the recruiting center for the space project, hoping to find someone who will adopt her and take her up into space where her sad life can't find her again. Lucky for her, Aerika Beldyn wants a daughter. They go up to live in space, both happy when their new start, but bad things start to happen, and there is nothing to stop them...

The Return of the Mini Series!!!

Okay, don't get your hopes up too high. Although many readers were mad about me stopping "Another's Eyes", my mini series, there really was nothing I could do about it. My stupid computer still doesn't let me post stuff about my mini series. I don't really get it, either. I can post just about anything else in the world I want except chapters of "Another's Eyes". So I am starting a new mini series, a story that I have not already written! "Another's Eyes" was a story that was already written and stuffed away in a drawer in my room. My new series is one that I will be writing as I go. There will be a new installment every weekend on Sunday except the occasional time that I'm camping or something, I will post the installment early.

There is an extra twist to this mini series though, you (my readers) are an active part of the story! Every Saturday I will start a new poll in the top section of the column on the right hand side of the page. You must vote to determine what will happen on the next installment the next day. If no one votes, I will decide. Have fun reading my new series, which will be called In Neptune's Shadow. Today will be the first installment.

BONUS CHALLENGE!!!!!!!!!!

Here it is folks! THE VERY FIRST BONUS CHALLENGE!!!!

Okay, so because my dad bought tickets from ticketmaster, we got two free itunes downloads. NIck got one and I got the other. Since I am completely stumped on what to get, I thought I'd bring my dilemma to my readers! So,  this is convenient for everyone, because I get a song, and you guys get credit towards your fall challenge series prize (which i'll talk more about later)!!!

So, give me three songs you think i'd like, based on my personality, and I'll tell you who wins! Now this challenge works differently because it's not, the first to do the challenge wins kind of thing. I'm giving you a couple of hours so that all people who want to do it can do it (Brittany, you can also do it, but you have to email me with your results. I'm giving you guys until 8:00 tonight to get all your answers in. I would love to give you a couple of days, but

A: I can't often go on the computer during the week

B: the free song offer expires really soon

so there ya have it, the very first bonus challenge!

P.s. Brittany, please email me on the email account that runs this blog. just go to my profile or wherever you find it (i'm not positive about where it is) and click "email this user".

L1;2

I'm baaaaaaacccckkkk!!! But only for the weekend, so solve this challenge ASAP! As promised I said I'd be here for the weekends. I am going to try to be on during the weeks, but I still can't guarantee. I'm hoping to bargain something like a computer as the family christmas present, so hopefully I'll be back on in no time!

Here's your challenge readers! Many years ago when I was just a little girl my mother and I would dress up in costumes that went t
ogether. (example: I was an angel and she wa
s the devil) so I will show you a picture and you say what you would go as if you went with them! It has to go with the person's costume, so if they're dressed as a chicken, you shouldn't say you would go as a bottle of pickles, because that wouldn't make sense. Good luck!

Sorrys

Due to the unfortunate fact that my computer decided it no longer needed to live, I can not blog anymore except on the weekend and the few days of the week that I use my neighbors computer. I will not be giving up on you, It just means that my blog post will be farther apart. Do not think you must change anything because of this, I understand that I will miss emily's and laura's challenges.

My most sincere apologies, Hadley

Scoring and challenging

Note to all you challenge do-ers, the challenges for fall are going to be harder than the summer series. Bear in mind sometimes the challenge won't take just thirty seconds like they use to!

Scoring the series will be different!

You will not automatically win credit for doing one challenge. You will win credit for doing loops. If there are maybe 9 challenges in the first loop, and Emily wins six and Laura wins two and Brittany wins one, Emily will get one Point. You get credits for challenges won and Points for loops won. The person  with the most points on DECEMBER 1, 2008, will win the fall challenge series. Please understand that I am only making this scoring system so I don't end up juggling big number scores (example: Laura has 47 and Emily has 42 and Brittany has 35)

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THOSE PARTICIPATING IN THE HADLEY PRESS FALL CHALLENGE SERIES!!!

Fall Challenge Series

GOOD AFTERNOON LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, AND WELCOME, TO THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2008 FALL CHALLENGE SERIES! RIGHT HERE, ON THE HADLEY PRESS! THIS WILL BE A CHALLENGE SERIES OF PUZZLES AND GAMES, THINKING AND SEARCHING, HARD AND EASY, AND OF COURSE... FUNNNN!!!!!!

It's here! The beginning of a brand new string of brain busting, goofball, stupid easy, funny, and every other kind of challenge you can think of. It's different this time around though. My challenges last time were just random things, not similar in any way. This time, I will have mini loops (that's what I call em'). They are mini series of challenges, all linked in some way. I will label the challenges L1;9. That means "LOOP #1, CHALLENGE #9" as the loop you're in is 1, but it's the ninth challenge in that loop. It may get confusing, but don't worry.

P.S. I'll give you a clue to the first mini loop : It's black and orange typically. and many kids are excited about it. Think you know it? Post a comment!

Prize time!

*Please note, since technical difficulties prevented me from posting this earlier, understand this message is late*

Congratulations Emily on winning The summer challenge series! I will as soon as possible award you with a prize. The prize has already been selected and will be awarded in a matter of days. Please understand that I am not always available to go to the store and may not have your prize for a little while. I promise from the bottom of my heart I will get you that prize though. Please be patient.

Congrats,

Words can't describe this irritation...

I never thought such a thing was possible... I was reading Breaking Dawn and playing with a penny I had found. I went to turn the page of the book, and dropped my penny. It landed on it's edge, precariously perched in just the right posistion. I laughed, and showed dad and Nick. I had created a monster! Nick and I practiced for about half an hour. The highest anyone got was 15 pennies! FIFTEEN! But dad pointed out that the grooves on the placemat were probably holding the penny's poisition. He stated that it was most likely impossible to do it on the polished table surface. Sure enough, Nick and I proved him wrong. After Nick got his fifteen pennies, he gave up, but I wanted to prove I could make twenty. I made twenty...then fourty...then sixty... Dad was amazed! We all were. Everything was dead quite while I concentrated.  When they had to pass the table, often some pennies fell. In fact, once Nick knocked 21 of my pennies. I managed to get them back up though. We had to eat lunch in the kitchen because I didn't want to make the table shake. I was finally at eighty after lunch. Just one more row and I would have 100!!!!!! Nick, being very careless, stomped across the dining room without thinking and BAM!!! All 80 pennies went tumbling to the floor. FOUR HOURS OF WORK FOR NOTHING!!!!!! Needless to say, I'm still not really talking to him...
The first photo is my eighty successful pennies, and the other is after Nick's egghead event, the third is looking down the row of pennies when I first started, this shows how the pennies are perched.

Challenge #11

What are they thinking? I went to a town called Bennington in Vermont, and there were all these lifelike statues. Your challenge is to think of a full name (first, middle, last) and to say what they're thinking. Good Luck! P.S. The pictures you see are not all of them! There were a ton! Since the pictures won't be in order, when you write their description, make sure you describe the picture you're talking about.
